SAS Men's & Women's League

 2022 SAS Basketball Pacific Men’s and Women’s Leagues (BPML and BPWL) Information: 


Maximum of 8 men’s and 8 women’s teams. 

Weekend Tournaments: 

5th and 6th November 

19th and 20th November 

3rd and 4th December 

Round Robin, Quarter finals, Semis and Finals (total of 10 games for an eight-team league). Venues to be confirmed once teams are finalised. 


Entries will be accepted from BBNZ Affiliated Associations only. Preference will be given to existing  participants and Basketball Pacific member Associations. 


Non-refundable deposit of $500 due by 1 September. 

Entry Fee: $3300 (inc GST and deposit) due by 1 October.

Door fee at each venue will be $5 per adult per day and $2 per student per day. 


Maximum of 20 players on a roster. Players must meet BPML eligibility criteria (please see the BPML rules).  Rosters must be submitted by 1 October. Changes can be made up to the start of the competition. 

Any 12 eligible players from the 20-man roster can participate in each game. 

Players must have played in a minimum of 2 games (6 team competition) or 3 games (7 or 8 team  competition) of round robin games to be eligible for the finals weekend. 


Basketball Pacific has appointed Campbell Macgregor as referee convenor who will appoint referees and  provide feedback to coaches etc. Games will be officiated by three referees.

SAS Sports is the Official Uniform and Naming rights sponsor. Basketball Pacific may provide uniforms, which  if provided, will be required to be used.
